What are Driver Recorders and what do they do?

Essentially, a Driver Recorder, otherwise known as Dash Cameras or Dash Cams, is sort of a blackbox recorder for your car. In other words, it records what is in front of you and behind you in a loop, onto a digital storage card. Imagine the possibilities of such a device. Security for starters, it records both forwards and backwards to give an almost 300 degree view around your vehicle – collisions, road rage, security, accidental damage, all recorded for use.

This footage has been used by many to prove vehicle accident fault for insurance purposes, provide information to Police and so on. How many times have you heard a report of the Police asking for Dash Cam footage on the news? It can be most helpful and is a running record of what is happening to and around your vehicle.
